Accessibility

Document tools should work for everyone.

The interface is designed for keyboard, screen-reader, magnification and reduced-motion use across desktop and mobile devices.

We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The service has not received an independent conformance assessment, so this is not a claim of full conformance.

Our target

We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the public interface, including visible focus, logical headings, labelled controls, status announcements, sufficient contrast and layouts that reflow at high zoom.

Conversion outputs

Source-document accessibility varies. Tools that alter document structure may not preserve every tag, reading order or alternative-text property. Our accessibility check is heuristic, while PDF Accessibility Metadata & Review changes only metadata and document preferences and returns review evidence. Neither workflow establishes PDF/UA or WCAG conformance or replaces expert review.

Known limitations and current work

  • Complete broader keyboard and assistive-technology testing
  • Audit generated PDF accessibility across conversion engines
  • Publish browser and assistive-technology support details
  • Formalise the process for accommodation requests
